Severe Thunderstorm Climatology ( 21 years )of Guwahati Airport

Severe Thunderstorm : Defined as almost continuous thunder and lightening, heavy rain at the station or in the vicinity which may be accompanied by hail with max wind exceeding 37 knots.

Squall: Defined as a sudden increase in wind speed of at least 16 knots, the speed rising to 22 knots or more and lasting for at least one minute.
